Twin Love

I'm a sucker for a good black-and-white picture. And this is in the top three of my favorites that I've taken of my little guys...from last summer.

Babies, babies and more babies. It seems as though they're popping out all around us lately! And who doesn't love a cute photo of an adorable baby? This is sweet Reuben, who made his grand debut just weeks ago. Is he not absolutely perfect?
I stepped out of my comfort zone in getting his pictures taken. While I much prefer the pure backdrop of the great outdoors for my pictures, it isn't always practical. And so, I fought with lighting issues to snap these shots. It was tricky at first, and Reuben was less than enthusiastic about my lack of efficiency, but we made it all work. Most of my favorite photos were the unintentional ones...the pictures that were snapped unrehearsed, while Mom and Dad went about their business caring for their sweet little one. In the end...I found just what I was looking for. Moments captured in time of a beautiful, brand new family.

Life Within

A few months back, I had the opportunity to attempt my first set of maternity pictures. And, since I absolutely adore pregnant bellies, it was so much fun! It certainly helped to have two incredibly photogenic people to work with. We were able to get oodles of pictures, but these were some of my favorites...

Twin Fawns

While my main passion in photography is capturing people, I am attempting to broaden that and step out of my comfort zone to capture other things as well.
This summer has been the most opportune of times to do so, and watching a pair of fawns roam about our lawn has been blissfully perfect. The twin fawns are always together and visit our home quite regularly. When I run out the door with camera in hand, my family knows why. It's to capture moments like these...

Beautiful Baby Girl

With those gorgeous big, blue eyes, incredibly adorable smile, and wild, funky mohawk hair; this baby girl is an absolute delight! She has just enough spunk to make her fun, and just enough fragility to make her "girl". With parents loving and kind as hers, and three big brothers that smother with kisses and protect...she certainly has the best that life can offer.

Anticipation of Life

Few things are as remarkable, intriguing and phenomenal as an expectant womb. Carrying life within is an entirely amazing event. While pregnant with our twin boys, our three older girls thoroughly enjoyed feeling their little brothers' first movements, kicks, hiccups and roll-overs. The delight from their faces as their hands roamed my girth was priceless. They loved their little brothers right from the very start...

Family Fun!

My sister and her uber photogenic family volunteered to be guinea pigs for my first unofficial photo shoot!
It was a cold day this past fall, but thankfully they were so cooperative. And since they're all super gorgeous, it went just beautifully.

 

 

Introduction

Someone once said, "What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”  I couldn't agree more!
While I've had the extreme honor of watching all my babies grow, I've captured many of those indescribable moments in pixels...forever to be remembered. With a camera in hand, I've dialogued first baths, first haircuts and many, many other momentous occasions. Those photos would have to be my biggest material prized possession. Memories captured, savored and not easily forgotten. This blog is my "home" of sorts to display my most cherished pictures I've taken; of my family, of friends, and of life all around me.
