Nightfall

I adore that time of day when the sun begins to set, the winds begin to quiet and night is slowly ushered in. The entrance of night seems to bring a peaceful calm to our hurried days.
In all truth, I've been known to run from the dinner table and out the front door with camera and car keys in hand...in hopes of capturing the beauty of that brief moment in time when "day" magically turns into "night". It happens quickly and often unaware in the midst of our rushed lives. Some sunsets have been more inspiring than others. Some are modestly common. And some leave me absolutely breathless. But each nightfall reminds me to soak in and reflect on all that the present day had to offer...and embrace the fresh newness that tomorrow will bring.

All Creatures Great And Small

Having children, it's nearly impossible not to acquire a small spot in your heart for even the littlest of creatures. In the past fifteen years as parents, we've had numerous adventures with big and small critters of various kinds. We savor each opportunity to catch a glimpse of any bird, deer, caterpillar or squirrel that comes our way. This collection of photos is just some of our favorite encounters...

A Girl And A Horse

Few things are as sweet as watching a girl bond with a horse.
It requires learned skill, patience and diligence to win the heart of such a majestic beast.
The reward: watching my girl riding high...feeling on top of the world...

Capturing Nature

The past several months I've attempted to capture just what is the beauty of the world we live in. More specifically, the scenery in which I live in. It's impossible to drive, bike or even walk anywhere without something catching my eye to photograph...the beauty of God's creation is everywhere. The colors, textures and vibrant hues that are saturated throughout scenery...and are truly to be admired.

Buds and Blooms

Flowers are kisses from heaven. It's my favorite part of every spring and summer; watching the buds bloom into brilliant colors and designs. If you look close enough, each is unique and intricate. Nothing short of true artistry by an amazing creator. These are just a few of my most cherished in my collection of floral pictures...
