Nightfall

I adore that time of day when the sun begins to set, the winds begin to quiet and night is slowly ushered in. The entrance of night seems to bring a peaceful calm to our hurried days.
In all truth, I've been known to run from the dinner table and out the front door with camera and car keys in hand...in hopes of capturing the beauty of that brief moment in time when "day" magically turns into "night". It happens quickly and often unaware in the midst of our rushed lives. Some sunsets have been more inspiring than others. Some are modestly common. And some leave me absolutely breathless. But each nightfall reminds me to soak in and reflect on all that the present day had to offer...and embrace the fresh newness that tomorrow will bring.
